From 25 to 28 November 2021, the Seventh Belarusian Christmas Readings named "From the baptismal font to the heights of religious thought: the 1030th anniversary of the Polotsk diocese founding and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky" are being held. On November 26, 2021, a social work specialist from the Fate and Hope Institution took part in the work of the “Social Service of the Church” Section (the topic is “Supporting families with a child with a disability”).
In the speech named "Comprehensive support for families where a child with OPFD is born and raised" the specialist spoke about the psychological aspects and needs of families with children with psychophysical disabilities and shared the methods of work of the "Fate and Hope" team with this category of families.
After the speech, a discussion with a representative of the Pokrov Foundation for Support of Family, Motherhood and Childhood was held concerning the forms of cooperation in the direction of social work with various categories of families.
Clergymen, government officials, cultural figures, scientists, heads and teachers of educational institutions, medical and social workers, church school teachers, students, and representatives of other activities were invited to participate in the Readings.
