An international scientific and practical conference was held under this name on December 20, timed to the 25th anniversary of the Social Workshops of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" church parish for people with disabilities.
Work in workshops has been dedicated to people with severe health limitations all the years since the opening. An innovative model of work for the Republic of Belarus was developed and tested during this time. Today many pupils are already successfully independent people, and the activities of the workshops have become in demand by state and public structures.
Inna Viktorovna Malkevich, a representative of the Fate and Hope Institution and the head of the day care unit for people with severe and multiple developmental disabilities, social center Minsk region, presented their joint work experience in helping people with severe disabilities. The presentation on the topic “Productive activity and inclusion of people with severe intellectual disabilities” presents a project idea for organizing socially useful employment for young people with disabilities, day department clients, in cooperation with state and public organizations.
Specialists from Belarus, Russia, Germany, Greece, Sweden, Sri Lanka, and Poland made speeches at the international scientific and practical conference, presenting their diverse experience of working with people with disabilities.
