On Saturday, September 22, "ART Vandroņa", the excursion department of "Art Syazi", offers a charitable journey of expensive churches in Zhirovichi, the famous land of the miraculous stone icon of the Mother of God Zhirovicha, the patroness of Belarus.
The inclusive excursion "Zhirovichi - a holy place for us" will be organized jointly with the Institution for rendering assistance in the difficult life situation "Fate and Hope". Participation in this excursion will allow you to join the trip free of charge for children and young people with disabilities, as well as for their parents.
The journey will be conducted by the famous historian and tour guide Pavel Korolyov.
The main points of the route will be:
- a beautiful baroque architectural ensemble of the Zhirovichi Holy Assumption Monastery of the 17th and 18th centuries. with a visit to the monastery investor's estate.
- a unique Orthodox church-fortress in Synkovichi, a masterpiece of the Belarusian defensive Gothic style (16th c.);
Also on the way it is possible to see the temples of the 18th-19th centuries, distinctive by their architecture. in the villages of Bolshie Shilovichi and Surynka, and meet with bright and inspired people, priests and inhabitants of the monastery, in particular with a colorful and interesting personality, the Belarusian-speaking poet-fisherman Father John (Bembel).
Itinerary: Minsk - Zhirovichi - Surinkka - Synkovichi - Shilovichi - Minsk.
The cost of the trip is 40 bel. rubles, a permanent participant and groups (with advance payment) - 38 bel. rub. with a monastic dinner in Zhirovichi.
