Under this title, the VI Forum of the “Sanctity of Motherhood” program was held on November 14-15, 2018, organized by the Foundation of St. Andrew the First-Called, together with the Karic Brothers Foundation (Serbia) with the support of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus.
The Forum was attended by more than 400 people from 12 countries of the world (Belarus, Russia, Serbia, Georgia, Israel, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, the Republic of Macedonia, Slovenia, the USA). These are representatives of public organizations, government departments, whose competence includes the development and implementation of family policy; scientists and experts in various fields of knowledge on family life issues; media representatives.
The substantive work of the Forum included 6 thematic sections: 1) round table “You are not alone: experience in supporting maternity” 2) round table “Experience and perspectives of teaching“ Family Studies ”(“ Basics of Family Life ”)” 3) round table “Family oriented information policy: experience and perspectives”” 4) international workshop “The role of volunteering in the development of a family-oriented society” 5) round table “Legal practice of family support: current problems and trends” 6) round table “Donors and tradition: how company and support the institution of the family. " Also, a scientific-practical seminar “Reproductive family health: modern medical, psychological and social, ethical aspects” was held within the framework of the Forum.
Specialists of the Institutions for Assistance in a Difficult Life Situation “Fate and Hope” shared their experience in social and legal support for families at the workshop “The Role of Volunteering in the Formation of a Family-Oriented Society”.
The Forum is due to the relevance of building a public-state partnership in the field of family support. One of the priority tasks of the Forum participants was to pursue a coordinated policy to strengthen the family institution, promote the upbringing of family, moral and spiritual values of young people, and develop favorable conditions for the birth and upbringing of children.
The work of the Forum was aimed at attracting world attention to modern opportunities and current methods of preserving the values of family, marriage, motherhood and fatherhood and contributed to the exchange of experience and the development of practical solutions that can help strengthen the vitality of the family in the modern world.
