The M.Y.STUDIO Fashion and Style Center, together with «Fate and Hope» Institution for Assistance in Difficult Life Situations and the Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology organizes the Kids Fashion Zone traditional annual charitable Fashion Project which will be held on February 20, 2021 in President Hotel. The event is timed to coincide with the International Day of Children with Cancer (February 15).
Location: Minsk, Kirova street, 18.
Time: 14.00-20.00.
A show of children's clothing from Belarusian designers will take place as part of the project. Children from the M.Y.STUDIO Fashion and Style Center and children with cancer will walk the catwalk together.
According to the World Health Organization, annually more than 200 thousands children under the age of 15 have cancer, and more than 80 thousands are at the age from 15 to 19. A child's illness is an ordeal for the whole family. The goal of the project is to support families and create a favorable information and social field around children with cancer through the inclusive format of the event: all children will go to the podium in spite of any cliche, and everyone will be able to express their individuality in this creative event, as well as receive positive support from the outside spectators.
The idea of creating the Kids Fashion Zone Fashion Project belongs to a wonderful woman Maria Zhuravleva. She knows about raising a child with special needs from personal experience. 6 years ago Maria was diagnosed with a disability, and 2 years ago she was struggling with cancer. Despite a difficult personal situation Maria finds the strength and courage to overcome all difficulties through creativity. The pupils of the educational center are children of various categories, and the staff of the institution creates the conditions for development of the creative abilities of students, the self-realization of their personalities.
Maria Zhuravleva: “When someone is diagnosed with a serious illness in a family, it is certainly a grief for everyone, but this grief is doubly felt when a child is sick. Children are the greatest value for us. It is very difficult to deal with such a blow of fate as childhood cancer.
This event is aimed at drawing public attention to children with serious illnesses and their needs. These children need help to overcome isolation and build a quality life. Creating the conditions for learning and developing on an equal basis with everyone is a necessity for them. This project provides an opportunity for creative realization for all children regardless of what life circumstances they have".
Borisevich Marina Vladimirovna, Deputy Director for Organizational and Methodological Work of the Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology: “The last year has been especially difficult. But no matter what difficulties occur in life, children need a holiday and conditions for development and self-realization. This event organises creative atmosphere and gives our patients an opportunity to feel active, confident, beautiful, which is very important for their quality of life".
The project brings together creative people of Belarus who are doing one common thing: Belarusian designers, trade marks and Belarusian brands, as well as modeling agencies and schools which provide comprehensive training in the basics of fashion shows take part in the project.
The project is supported by Belarusian pop artists. The program includes performances by Anastasia Tikhanovich, Dima Kaminsky, Alen Hit, Neshta Bydze, Show Stress, My Song.
The event will be hosted by Katya Samsonova, Evgeny Bulka, Natalya Bibikova, Tamara Lisitskaya.
All funds collected for entrance tickets will be transferred for the treatment and rehabilitation of children in need.
